Felix P. Nater, President of Nater Associates, Ltd.
Felix (Phil) Nater has more than 30 years of investigative, managerial and security experience as a United States Postal Inspector and Postal Police Officer, with 8 of those years devoted to Workplace Violence Interdiction. Mr. Nater has spent the last six years establishing his security management consulting practice as unique and responsive. Part of Mr. Nater’s training and experiences includes extensive specialty courses, program management at the national and regional levels of the postal service, diversified leadership acquired as a task force leader and supervisory and managerial experience emanating from a variety of assignments in the U.S. Army Reserves as a Command Sergeant Major, now retired.

He has held office and title in numerous organizations including the Association of the United States Army, Hispanic Association of Police Command Officers and the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals and many other organizations. Mr. Nater is also a member of the International Association of Professional Security Consultants, the Society for Human Resources and InfraGard.

Accomplishments:


• Retired, United States Postal Inspector with approximately 30 years of criminal, civil & security investigative experience & Crime Prevention Methodology with letters of commendation.

• Spearheaded Workplace Violence Interdiction Investigations; served as a member a Threat and Crisis Management Team recommending prevention, risk abatement measures and implemented initiatives to the United States Postal Service.

• Participated in numerous major criminal investigations, served as Task Force Leader and program manager for Public Information, Training & Recruitment and Threat Management.

• Since incorporating, has delivered numerous security consulting services and training projects to government, corporate, universities & non for profit organizations on workplace violence and security awareness and education.

Conducted one hundred-twenty five Vulnerability Security Audits for the Postal Service.

Participated as a team of subject matter expert in producing a workplace violence prevention video for security officers with PSTN.

Assisted a prime contractor as a subcontractor in writing Workplace Violence Prevention Guidelines for a major state organization.

Was keynote speaker at a major background screening conference and delivered several key presentations.

• Trained in Workplace Violence Prevention, Crisis Negotiation Conflict Resolution & Mediation the Process.

Designed a Customer Service Security Seminar for Security Officers at the New York Hall of Science.

• Testified in numerous federal, state, local criminal and administrative hearings.

• Conducted training and lectures in Aspects of Workplace Violence Prevention and Security Awareness Seminar for thousands of employees of the government, corporations, law enforcement agencies, educational institutions, chambers of commerce and other organizations.

• Developed a Violence Interdiction Concept that employs a “Plain Talk–Solid Situational Approach Concept” to threat management and conflict resolution.

• Demonstrated efficiency in working with union organizations to help mitigate the threat of workplace violence.

• Instrumental in developing Leader-Based Desktop Crisis Management Scenario Training to sustain postal management’s crisis response management plans for the Long Island and Queens Postal Districts.

Recipient of the 2005 Leadership Award in the Small Business Category by the Long Island Works Coalition.

• Nominee for the 2007 International Facility Managers Association's Best Associate Business Member of the Year.

• Retired member of the U. S. Army Reserves who served as a Command Sergeant Major of a major Army Reserve Command.

• Member of the International Association of Professional Security Consultants (IAPSC).

• President of the North East Chapter of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP).

• Former Chairman of the New York City Area Committee for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserves, Department of Defense Agency (ESGR).

• Immediate Past President of the Greater New York – Statue of Liberty Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA).

• Past Vice President of the Leadership Division, United States Army Sergeants Major Academy Class.
